Amanda Miller's family has a long history in Northern Colorado, with a family business established in Greeley during the 1900's. After a childhood spent around the country and world with the US Air Force, Amanda attended Colorado State University earning a degree in Natural Resource Recreation and Tourism.

As an employee of the Fort Collins Downtown Business Association (DBA) for nearly 10 years, Amanda Miller (Director of Details for The Place Setting Company) had an instrumental leadership role in establishing downtown Fort Collins as a popular destination, and an intimate understanding of the logistics, connections, imagination and implementation required for downtown revitalization success. Her roles at the DBA included recruiting new members, managing over 250 active memberships and the Downtown Fort Collins gift card program which sold over $350,000 in 2010. In addition to membership responsibilities she coordinated logistics for over 80 event days produced by the DBA, including the Colorado Brewers' Festival, Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest and First Night Fort Collins.
